1st Model Luftwaffe Dagger by SMF

I always liked aluminum 1st Model Luftwaffe Daggers as they seem to remain nice and bright! The plated blade on this one is beautiful! The "SMF Solingen" maker mark is beautifully executed, as is the proof mark just above it! It has a wonderful plated mirror like finish! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip is perfect! The blade rates Exc++. It has runner marks and the odd surface scratch. The original blue pebbled leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The original blue, pebbled, leather scabbard body remains in excellent condition! It has the odd pressure mark yet it retains 100% coverage and has a perfect seam! The aluminum scalloped scabbard fittings remain nice and bright, matching the hilt in color and patina. The fittings are tightly secured with all five original screws! The aluminum chain has 9 lower and 7 upper ringlets that ends at a well working "Ges. Gesch. OLC" marked clip. The hilt looks great! The four sun wheel swastikas are gold gilded. The bottom two are lightly faded. The grip leather remains in excellent condition! The aluminum triple wire wrap remains tightly intact. A very nice aluminum example with a nice original portepee!
