An excellent looking piece here! The bright blade on this one looks excellent! The dark and crisp, acid etched “SMF Solingen” maker mark is beautifully executed! It’s been cleaned at some point and the crossgrain is stunning as you shine it in the light and it runs the full length of the blade! It has a perfect tip and solid fit. The reverse us marked “Nethe” The blade rates a solid Exc++. It has a few smudges. The blue pebbled leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based blue pebbled leather covered scabbard looks great! It shows the odd scuff and age wear throughout yet continues to hold 99.9%+ coverage and has a perfect seam! The solid nickel-silver fittings look excellent! The ball looks to have been repaired at some point, when or by who I have no idea. It relatively nice round shape and all four screws remain intact! The throat is correctly marked with the NSFK logo. The scabbard/dagger fit is perfect. The solid nickel-silver hilt fitting look excellent perfectly matching the scabbard fitting in color, wear and patina! The wood based blue pebbled leather covered grip shows wear and retains 98%+ leather coverage. The end of the crossguard is “K” marked. The black enameled swastikas are practically perfect! Finally, the original hanger is intact with a solid well working nickel-silver clip. An excellent example you would be proud to own!
