A Kreistaf Braunschweig Stadt Day Badge 1939 by Richard Sieper & Söhne of Lüdenscheid . It is constructed out of in injection molded white bakelite base that has been gold painted. The obverse depicts an eagle with outstretched wings, clutching a wreathed stagnant swastika within its talons, above the Sack city seal of a lion within a shield, partaially surrounded by “Kreistag Braunschweig Stadt 1939”. The full back reverse has a vertically melted on, well working steel round plate pin assembly. It is also maker marked “RZM M9/25”, “Richard Sieper & Söhne Lüdenscheid”. It measures approximately 2 inches wide by 1 7/8 inches tall. A nice piece!
