Another super item from the 2018 MAX Show. Textbook 1st model rail! The high quality plated blade is a clean example with just the lightest wear from where the runners rubbed. The logo is the stamped Klaas kissing cranes that is considered to be the most accepted maker for these rare daggers. The leather blade buffer is in place. The generic crossguard has good detail. The typical Klaas long grip is black trylon. There are some fine chips right at ferrule. Again I've taken care to show you every flaw possible here. I know a portepee would hide this completely. The scabbard is straight and true with nicely detailed bands featuring the distinctive Klaas astrix (*). The throat is fairly thick and is retained by a two screws. A very nice example at a reasonable price.
