Cased German Shooting Association Non-Portable Award

A Deutschen Schützenverbandes nichttragbare Siegerplakette im Etui. It is constructed out of a die struck zinc base that has been copper washed. The obverse features the Roter Sand lighthouse above the waves with clouds in the background surrounded by “Deutscher Schützenverband Gau Nordsee”. The reverse reads: “Meisterschaften des Deutschen Schützenverbandes” surrounded by an oak leaf and acorn wreathe that is tied together at the bottom with a bowtie. The bronze looks great. It measures 3 15/16 inches in diameter. It comes housed in its original issue case. The case is constructed out of wood and pressed cardboard base that is covered in a simulated black leatherette. The interior base is covered in a green felt material that outlines the award. The interior top has a white velvet strip that reads “Unterkreismeistershaft 1940 Gegeben vom Gau Nordsee D.Sch.V.”. Minor scuffs to the exterior. The case measures 5 1/2 inches wide and long by 1 1/4 of an inch thick. Rare to find the issue case with it!
