An Erinnerungsplakette Adolf Hitler - Die Voraussetzung zur Tat ist der Wille und der Mut zur Wahrhaftigkeit. The Fuhrer Plaque was an officially recognized NSDAP non-portable award. It was presented to middle ranking political and state officials in recognition of special achievement. It is constructed out of a cast bronze base that has been copper plated. The rectangular shaped obverse features Hitler’s bust above "Die Voraussetzung zur tat ist der Wille und der Mut zur Wahrhaftigkeit" (The prerequisite for doing is the will and courage of truthfulness) and a mobile swastika. The hollow back reverse reads: “Genehmigter Alleinverkauf Adolf Trumpf (missing) Hannover” (exclusive sales authorized to Adolf Trumpf of Hannover) and Erste, vom Fuhrer und der Reichsleitung fur sehr gut Befundene, nach Naturstudien gearbeitete Plakette. (The first plaque produced from a live sitting, which the Leader and National Leadership have found to be very good). It measure approximately 3 ¾ inches wide by 5 ½ inches long. It comes housed in its original issue case. Typical leatherette covered wood and press cardboard base with felt and velvet interior. Minor scuffs/pressure marks. A nice piece!
