A two-piece helmet, comprised of a liner and a Manganese shell. The shell retains approximately most of its rough-textured olive drab paint. Original chinstrap. The high pressure plastic liner has a dark brown and tan vertical stripe design visible to its interior surface, resulting from its segmented construction, but has been painted in rough-textured olive drab to its exterior, which has been almost 100% retained. There are six rivets for the "Riddell" suspension system, three for the neck strap, as well as two larger garter stud rivets for the chin strap, and an eyelet to the front center for insignia, are visible to the exterior. All straps are complete and in good condition. Included with the helmet is a good reproduction reversible USMC pattern camo cover. Two piece, cotton HBT construction, with printed splotch pattern camouflage. Cover has one central stitched seam with both sides being of identical shape, with extended flaps. The flaps are folded up between the helmet and the helmet liner to secure cover in place. Camouflage patterns consists of four colors to "jungle" side in greens, browns and tans, and three colors to the "beach" side of browns and tans. Very nice helmet and cover.
