A Transitional Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by C. Lütters & Co of Solingen. The ricassoed blade is stamped “C. Lütters & Co” and “RZM M7/59”. It rates an Exc+. It shows minor pitting age grey and spotting throughout. The original black leather buffer remains intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard looks great. 50%+ of its original paint coverage remains intact. It remains completely dent free. The scabbard leather shows crazing. It has all of its rivets intact and the snap continues to work well. The zinc based nickel-silver plated hilt retains approximately 85% of its plating. The grip plates are black checkered bakelite. The reverse has a crack that apreas to have been glued back together and there is a glue/clear coat over the grip plates. The grip plates have a small wiggle and are solid steel. The HJ diamond has that same coating over it and retains 99%+ of its enamel. A rarer maker.
