A Reichsluftschutzbund RLB “Air Raid Protection Against Emergencies” Badge 1933. It is constructed out of a die stamped bronze base that has been bronze washed and black burnished. The obverse features two planes flying above a burning city with shots coming from the ground. This scene is partially surrounded by a laurel leaf motif that is tied together at the top and is above “Luftschurtz Tut Not 1933”. The ‘3’s may look like ‘5’s but if you look at the reverse it is clear they are ‘3’’s. The hollow back reverse features a horizontally soldered on tomback pin assembly that remains in well working condition. It measures 1 5/16 inches tall by 1 3/16 inches wide. A rare RLB pin!
