German army enlisted man's M43 "Bergmutze" with a applied edelweiss. This cap bears a "T-shaped" BeVo national eagle, swastika and cockade insignia professionally sewn to the front of the field gray wool body which is absolutely free of any damage whatsoever. The two side panels are joined at the front by two field gray painted pebbled buttons. Stitched to the left side panel is a zinc edelweiss denoting a "Gebirgjager" (mountain troops) affiliation. The interior is lined with gray/brown material and ink stamped "56 M39 Almi Koblenz". The cap suffers mothing holes and the visor is bent in the center from years of storage.
