An Issue Case for a Luftwaffe Paratrooper Badge. Most appropriate for a Paratrooper Badge by Juncker/IMME, Assmann or B&NL. The case is constructed out of a wood and pressed cardboard base that is covered in a simulated grained blue leatherette. To the front is a round steel push button. To the back is a steel, staggered, piano hinge. To the very top in gold foil Gothic style script it reads: “Fallschirmschützen - Abzeichen”. The interior-bottom of the case is constructed out of a pressed cardboard base that is covered in a blue felt material that outlines the pin, hinge and catch assembly. The interior top has an underlying pad that is covered in a blue satin. The bottom portion of the case has a different (bamboo style) pattern leather that is most commonly found on Assmann Cases. The case measures approximately 2 15/16 inches wide and 3 3/16 deep and 15/16 of an inch thick. A beautiful case!
