A model 1933 SA honour dagger with Ernst Rohm dedication

Nickel silver cross guards are the "H.E" type having excellent smooth surfaces, crisp edges and precise accent grooves. Bottom of the lower guard has the factory inspection stamp, "8". Reverse lower guard is stamped with the Gruppe marking, "Wf". Grip is a choice furniture-like wood medium contour ridge in the center having small delicate grain along with lighter and darker shades of brown color exhibiting no signs of wear, remaining in perfect condition. SA runes button has perfect enamel and is set straight up and down. Nickel grip eagle is the "high-necked" variety retaining all details to the bird's head, breast and wing feathering, talons, wreath and swastika. Scabbard is example having a totally straight shell complete with anodizing and original lacquer which exhibits crazing. Two matching nickel mounts are in perfect condition, to include the lower ball. Original nickel screws are all there and are unturned. Blade literally has everything you would want in a Röhm dagger. It is bright throughout and has great cross graining with needle-like tip. Other than the standard in-and-out markings and very minor age, this blade is in near mint condition. The SA motto, "Alles für Deutschland" is crisp and retains the majority of the factory darkening in the backs of the letters. Röhm inscription on the reverse exactly matches the motto, also with full darkening in the letter backgrounds. The inscription, of course, reads, "In herzlicher Kameradschaft Ernst Röhm" The trademark is the 1933-35 small double logo which contains the company name and location, "Carl Eickhorn/ Solingen. Inside is a serrated tail squirrel holding a nut in his paws. The lower blade exactly butts the cross guard contour. A remarkable Röhm example.
