Tabbed Army Buckle by E. Schneider

Here we have a worn steel based, die struck, single piece, green painted tabbed army belt buckle. The obverse depicts an embossed closed winged Heer eagle griping a swastika in its talons. The eagle is above a half oak leaf and acorn wreath and underneath: "GOTT MIT UNS" (God with us). The wreath and motto are in front of a decorative line type pattern which is all encircled by two twisted ropes. The steel prongs and catch remain in excellent condition! The buckle is marked "ESL 41" (E. Schneider Ludenscheid 1941). The buckle retains 50% paint coverage throughout. The details to the wreath, motto and eagle are all good. Purchased from US Veteran's family by me!
