A 4. Stufe Dienstauszeichnung für den Reichsarbeitsdienst für 4 Jahre. The 4 year RADwJ Long Service medal was awarded to all members of the RADwJ who contributed 4 years of loyal service. It is constructed out of a die stuck bronze base that has been bronze washed with burnished backgrounds. The oval shaped obverse features a RADwJ emblem, which consists of; a mobile swastika that has a wheat sheath coming out either side of it, which lies on a smooth background and is surrounded by an oak leaf and acorn wreath that is tied together at the top and bottom. The reverse of the badge reads: “Für treue Dienste im Reichsarbeitsdienst” (For Faithful Service in the Reich Labor Service) on a smooth field and is also surrounded by the same wreath. To the top is a soldered on loop and ring which holds a Lady’s bow style blue rayon ribbon and a stitched on well working brass based gilded pin assembly. The badge measures 1 5/8 inches high by 1 5/16 inches wide. A great assembly!
