A 1939 Gautag am Westwall Badge by Werner Redo of Saarlautern. It is constructed out of a die struck zinc-alloy based that has been silver washed. The obverse depicts an open winged eagle holding a wreathed swastika in its talons, with the west wall of Germany to the bottom. The obverse reads "Gautag am Westwall Kaiserslautern 1939". The fullback reverse has a horizontally crimped on, well working, steel pin assembly, and reads "Entwurf. F.K. Franck Kaiserslautern". It is also maker marked "RZM M9/56" and "Werner Redo, Saarlautern". It measures 1 3/4 inches in diameter. A cool piece!
