Abzeichen für Nationalen Tag der Arbeit - 1. Mai 1938. These National Labor Day / May Day tinnies commemorate the public holiday devoted to the German working class, on the 1st of May every year. It is constructed out of a die struck zinc base that has been blackened. The round shaped obverse features a man and a woman dancing with an umbrella above a national eagle (with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed swastika in its talons) and “1. Mai 1938”. The reverse is maker marked "Piezug & Co Hellendorf i.SA." and has a well working, vertically crimped on, steel pin assembly. It measures 1 7/16 inches in diameter. Collect them all!
