A fine example by Gebruder Heller! The blade on this one looks good. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfectly sharp point. The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "Gebruder Heller Schmalkalden" maker mark both look great, look how that black etch jumps right out at you! The blade rates an Exc+/Exc++. It has just the most minor age and a ton of factory grain. The brown anodized scabbard looks excellent! It continues to retain the some of its original factory lacquer. There are no dents. The solid nickel scabbard fittings and crossguards are in good shape with just a few odd marks and rubs. The ball is perfect. All four screws remain intact! The scabbard / crossguard fit is near good and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is correctly Gau stamped "Mi" (Mitte). The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! The brown hardwood grip looks excellent. There is one hairline to the reverse, no chips or flakes. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. Comes with an original early hanger. Overall it's a fine example with a used but original 1 pc hanger!
