An interesting set from an old collection. So nor sure exactly what the deal is with the brown backs. Some have said these are Afrika Corps, others just that these are a variation having nothing to do with Afrika Corps. Regardless an interesting variant. The die struck buckles, back piece, clips and bands are all constructed out of a zinc-alloy base that has been silver washed. They all depict oak leaves and acorns throughout. The two clips are in well working condition. The stitching, back brown felt and flatwire all have honest period wear. The detail to the oak leaves and acorns is awesome! A great set that would be perfect to complete your Army dagger!
