The blade on this one looks good. It nicely displays the acid etched "Meine Ehre heisst Treue" motto. The reverse "In Cordial Friendship Ernst Rohm" inscription and maker mark has been factory removed. The tip looks good, as does the fit! The blade rates Exc/Exc+. It has been cleaned and shows spotting, age and surface scratches and minor age throughout. It has been cleaned at some point. The blued dent-free scabbard looks good! The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent remaining nice and bright. All four screws remain intact and the ball remains perfectly round! There are some wee hits and marks from normal period use. The solid nickel hand-enhanced crossguards look great and they match the scabbard fittings in wear color and patina. The underside of the lower shows a texbook benchmark. The black hardwood grip is chip and crack-free, I suspect it has been repaired. I suspect some chipping as Eick's early SS dagger are notorious for chipping. It continues to look good. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed! The SS roundel retains 100% of its enamel.
