Well here's a nice piece by one of my favorite makers! The blade on this one has some age spotting. Lots of crossgrain remains! The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "Anton Wingen Jr. Solingen" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The blade rates a solid Exc+/Exc++. The brown anodized scabbard looks excellent and it still retains lots of its original factory lacquer! There is a small hit the the edge of the back of the scabbard. The solid nickel scabbard fittings show honest period wear to include a small hit to the very bottom of the ball. All four screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards are in near perfect condition, matching the scabbard fittings in color and wear. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped "No". The grip / crossguard fits are perfect! The light brown hardwood grip looks awesome with a few normal pressure marks and some flakes to the top obverse crossguard fit. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 98% of its enamel.
