A Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by Gebr. Lützenkirchen of Solingen. The early blade on this one looks great! The stamped “Gebr. Lützenkirchen Solingen” maker mark and acid etched “Blut und Ehre!” motto are beautifully executed. The fit continues to remain nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point. The blade rates an Exc++. It shows surface scratches and age grey throughout. The buffer pad is lost to time. The steel based black anodized scabbard is in excellent condition! It retains a nice dark finish and it remains completely dent free. The scabbard leather looks good. One repair to the top. It has all of its rivets intact and the snap continues to work well. The steel based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 99% of its plating. The grip plates are black checkered bakelite and remain in excellent condition. Both bronze nickel-silver plated rivets remain tightly secured. The HJ diamond has some small cracks yet retains 97% of its enamel. A rare and very early Hitler Youth Knife you are sure to be happy with!
