A Transitional Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by RZM M7/62 -Friedrich Plücker Jr of Solingen-Grafrath. The ricassoed mottoed blade on this one looks excellent! The stamped “RZM M7/62 F. Plücker Jr Solingen-Gr” maker mark and acid etched “Blut und Ehere!” motto are dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates Exc++. It has a few nicks to the tip and shows the common age grey and surface scratched throughout. The original blackened leather buffer pad is remains intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard looks excellent! It retains 66% paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The folded black leather strap was very worn and I re-conditioned it. It has a nail hole to the snap portion. It retains all of its rivets and the snap continues to work very well! The steel based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 90%+ of its plated finish. Typical wear from the snap and reverse rivet. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are in near perfect shape and are secured by two solid aluminum rivets. The HJ diamond is gorgeous retaining 99%+ of its enamel! A beautiful piece by a rarer maker!
