A Fireman’s Bayonet by L+E. This maker is the only maker who used a swastika in their manufacturers mark. The plated blade on this one looks great! It retains a nice bright mirror like finish! The encircled fireman’s helmet “L+E” stamped maker mark is beautifully executed! The tip comes to a sharp point and the fit is nice and tight. The blade rates a NM. It shows minor scratches. The leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard retains 99% paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The original throat retaining screw remains intact. The steel based, nickel-silver plated hilt looks wonderful. The plating remains 99%+ intact. The black bakelite diamond grip plates that are nicely fit without any damage and are secured by 2 nickel silver rivets. No cracks or chips anywhere. It comes with a well marked leather frog. A desirable piece!
