A beautiful exterior to this early, completely matching example! The blade on this one is nice! It has a beautifully acid etched "Original Eickhorn Solingen" maker mark. The tip and fit are both perfect! The blade rates Exc++. It shows minor age. The nickel plated scabbard is a beauty retaining some factory lacquer. It provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling and oak leaves and acorn bands. It also remains completely dent free. The original throat retaining screw remains intact and unturned. The early brass based Eickhorn eagle crossguard also provides wonderful details throughout the head, wings, wreath and chest! The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with burnish background and proud oak leaves and acorns! The orange trylon grip is near perfect being one tone darker to the obverse!A minty exterior, a Exc++ blade. If you've been looking for an early example that will make for a beautiful display, now's your chance!
