A Personalized - Transitional Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by RZM M7/11 1936 - K & Co of Solingen. The blade on this one looks good. The acid etched “Blut und Ehre!” motto, stamped deer heads “K. & Co Solingen”, “Ges. Geschützt” patent mark and “RZM M7/11 1936” maker mark are all crisp and beautifully executed. It has a solid fit and a perfect tip. The blade rates Exc+/Exc++. It has obvious evidence of cleaning with surface scratches throughout, it also shows minor age greying throughout. The original brown leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard looks great. It has been period repainted, they covered the reverse leather and two rivets. It retains 95% paint coverage and remains dent free. The folded over brown leather strap retains all of its and the snap continues to work well! The inside of the leather is faintly “LFS” marked. The leather is in wonderful condition! The hilt is constructed out of a steel base that has been nickel-silver plated. it apreas to have been cleaned. The spine of the hilt is personalized “G. Sch.”. The plating remains in nice condition, being 45%+ intact. The two black checkered bakelite grip plates are in excellent condition. To the center obverse of the grip has a HJ diamond with 92%+ enamel remaining. A solid example.
