Stefan Fröhlich (born October 7, 1889 in Orsova ( German Orschowa ), Kingdom of Hungary , Austria-Hungary , died October 2, 1978 in Duisburg ) was an Austrian, later German officer , as a General of the Air Force during the Second World War .

He served with the fighter pilot group Memmingen until the end of 1938. After the formation of the Kampfgeschwaders 76 , Fröhlich served there in January 1939 in the staff, before he was appointed on February 1, 1939 commander of the I. Group of this combat squadron. At the same time he served until mid-November 1939 as Fliegerhorstkommanandt Wiener-Neustadt. In this, Fröhlich denied the Polish campaign. On November 15, 1939, he rose to Commodore of the combat squadron, which he led in the Western campaign and in the Battle of Britain . On February 27, 1945, he was appointed commander-in-chief of the Air Force 10 (Replacement Air Force), which he led until April 28, 1945, the day of its dissolution.
