A nice early, slant-grip, tapered tang Army Dagger by WKC with wonderful patina! What more could you ask for! The Etched WKC marked blade on this one has been cleaned by someone at some point but still very nice! The crossgrain is partially visible and stunning as you shine it in the light! The fit is nice and tight. The blade rates an easy Exc++. The large brown leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based plated scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling throughout and hand enhanced oak leaf and acorn bands! It shows period age. The original throat retaining screws remain intact. The early hand enhanced WKC eagle crossguard provides beautiful details throughout the eagle's head, wings, wreath, beak and chest. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed and proud oak leaves and acorns. The orange, slant trylon grip on this one looks beautiful toning one shade darker to the obverse. It is near perfect with just a wee fea bite from honest period wear. Truly some great features on this Army Dagger!
