A glass grip Model 1935 - Wehrmacht Heer Dolch by WMW - Max Weyersberg Waffenfabrik of Solingen. The blade on this one looks great. The stamped “WMW Waffen” maker mark is crisp and nicely executed. Some crossgrain remains visible. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates Exc+. It has been cleaned, shows some age greying and has a few rough spots to the cutting edges. The leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based, nickel silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling and oak leaf and acorn bands! It remains completely dent free. The original throat retaining screw remains intact. The nickel-silver plated eagle crossguard provides beautiful details throughout the eagle’s head, wings, wreath, beak and chest. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns throughout. Nice burnishing to the fittings and scabbard. The desirable orange specked glass grip is in wonderful condition. No cracks or chips. A nice feature a great piece!
