A Model 1935 - Wehrmacht Heer Dolch by Rich. Abr. Herder of Solingen. The blade on this one is excellent! The acid etched “Rich. Abr. Herder Solingen” maker mark is dark crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible and is stunning as you shine it in the light! The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! The blade rates an Exc++/NM. It shows minor age greying throughout. The large leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based, nickel silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling and oak leaf and acorn bands! The scabbard remains dent free. The original throat retaining screw remains intact. The alloy based, nickel silver plated generic eagle crossguard provides beautiful details throughout the eagle’s head, wings, wreath, beak and chest. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns throughout. All matching fitttings. The orange trylon grip is in near perfect condition. No cracks or chips. A beautiful piece by a rare maker!
