The Imperial Eickhorn "back to back squirrels" marked blade on this piece looks good. The mark was near impossible to see and harder to picture!! There is some age but certainly Exc+. The etch is crisp and well done. The is perfect. The red felt buffer pad remains. The black leather scabbard has minor age crazing, some surface cracks and some odd scratches throughout. The brass based mounts are retained with staples. they have taken some hits but generally are fine. It remains dent free and still looks good. The brass hilt is in fine shape with minor age. The sharkskin grip remains in good shape retaining 3 brass wires, one of which is only half there. The tang is correctly peened over at the top of the hilt. A great piece!!
