A great piece by Eickhorn! The blade on this one has some age spotting toward the tip and has been cleaned. There's crossgrain left. It has a beautifully executed, dark stamped Over-the-shoulder "Original Eickhorn Solingen" maker mark that is hard to see as it's under the crossguard. I've seen these highly placed last Eickhorn marks placed there often, trust me it's there. It has a perfect tip and solid fit. The blade on this one rates Exc+/Exc++. The buffer pad remains. The scabbard is WKC product as we do see with later Eickhorn offering, (see Witty's reference) looks great! It depicts awesome details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. It remains completely dent free with the retaining screw intact and unturned. The aluminum eagle crossguard and pommel look awesome! The eagle has good detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side oak leaves and acorns. The pommel is beautifully hand enhanced and has proud swastika surrounded by oak leaves and acorns. The early trylon grip has aged to a pleasing orange over time. The aluminum springy wire wrap remains tightly intact. Overall a good example!
