A solid matching and 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger by WKC! The blade on this one is nice. The acid etched knight's head "WKC Solingen" maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed! It has a perfect fit and sharp tip. The blade rates an Exc++. It has some stain. The original brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The matching WKC scabbard is steel based with an airplane grey finish. It has some stains and a bit of residue from medal polish that someone 30 years ago used to polish this up. This can be removed with a good cleaning. The scabbard depicts awesome details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. It remains completely dent free and the single screw remains intact. The aluminum based Luftwaffe eagle crossguard has good detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side embossed oak leaves and acorns. The aluminum pommel and steel ferrule look awesome as well with those proud oak leaves and acorns. The early trylon grip has aged to a nice warm orange over time. There is one old chip just below the revers epommel. The springy aluminum wire wrap is tightly secured and looks great! A great looking piece to add to your collection!
