A Spanish Civil War Campaign Medal Award Document to a Comandante (Officer) Hans-Krieger. It is constructed out of a 15 3/8 x 11 3/8 inch pressed paper base with decorative multi-colored print. To the top left if the 1938–1945 version State Coat of Arms on a pedestal with a yellow and red ribbon and coat of arms wax seal to the bottom, to the right is the Spanish flag behind “Ejército Español”and there are encircled Francoism symbols near/on all of this. To the center right it reads in Gothic style ink: “En atención a los méritos contraidos en Operaciones de Guerra por” in hand writing “Comandante Hans-Krieger”, “S.E. el Jefe del Estado y Generalisimo de los Ejercitos Nacionales ha tenido a bien concederi”, “la Medalla de la Campaña”, “Y Para que conste y para satisfacción del interesado, erpido en nombre de S. E. el presente diploma en Burgos a 4 de Mayo de 1939. Año de la Victoria.” And “El ministro de Defensa Nacional” and signed by General “Fidel Dávila”. It is also stamped with the spanish seal “Ministerio de Defensa Nacional” to the bottom right it reads: “dibujó Herrero” and to the center bottom it reads: “Tallers offset – San Sebastian”. There is a fold crevasse to the center. Beautiful detail and color. A very rare award document.
