Early SA Dagger by C.F. Kayser

Please note this item is no longer available and you were redirected to our Archives.

A Model 1933 SA Dagger (Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch) by C.F. Kayser of Solingen. The blade on this one has stain. The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and maker mark are both nicely executed! Some crossgrain remains visible. The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit remains nice and tight! This blade rates an Exc. It shows age pitting and heavy spotting throughout. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard has wear. It has a few scratch marks and some oxidization spotting throughout. It continues to remain dent free. The solid nickel-silver scabbard fittings are patinaed and the ball is smashed in and split. All four screws and ring remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect! The crossguards are also nickel-silver based. The reverse of the lower crossguard is gau marked: “Om”, (quite correct for your guys who like to check me against the references). The pommel nut shows several scratch marks. The brown hardwood grip has had a tough life. It's got hits cracks and chips. From what I see a chip to the upper left obverse has been glued back in place. It shows several pressure marks throughout. The inserts are intact and the roundel retains 99% of it's enamel. This one rates 9 out of 10 for rarity.
