Early SA Dagger by Josef Reuleaux

Rating a 10 out of 10 on the McSarr rarity scale! Blade has lots of age and has been cleaned a bit too hard suffering some fine scratches longitudinally, like this was cleaned with a brillo pad or such. It's 217mm, being short of textbook by 3mm. It may have been retipped but if so I see no evidence of it. Motto is crisp and perfectly executed as is the maker mark with the trademark lucky “7” ! The scabbard has an impression ruining longitudinally. I say that and you can only find it if you hold this just so in the sun. Good anodizing! The ball is not dented. The fittings are all nickel silver. All screws are intact! Hardwood handle displays good grain with a hairline running north from the roundel and a couple microscopic flakes at the top crossguard corners. Eagle is perfectly fit with patina to the recesses. Roundel retains 100% of enamel. The handle shoulders and radii nicely fit the solid nickel guards. The crossguard is stamped "Wf". Blade is nicely set into the crossguard.
