Here's a rare bird! Rating 9 out of 10 on McSarrs SA rarity rating! The blade on this one has age and grey. The "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and rare Solingen maker mark are nice and clear! The tip has been shortened by 6mm, The blade measures 214mm, it looks good and you would not know it's been shortened other than an educated eye. The brown anodized scabbard has lots of wear throughout. There is lots of wear and minor surface oxidation and bumps. There is a wee "pin-prick" dent 2" south of the obverse top fitting. The scabbard fittings look great, matching the crossguard in color and patina. The ball has been bumped in some. All four screws remain intact. The reverse of the lower crossguard reads "Ns". The grip / crossguard fits are great. The attractive red hardwood grip is in nice condition. It does have a few wee flakes to the top obverse crossguard fit, you have to look hard to see them. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel retains 100% of its enamel and has a perfect fit. You hardly see this maker mark and for you guys looking for a rare one, this one's for you!
