A Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by RZM M7/51 1937 - Anton Wingen Jr. of Solingen. The ricassoed blade on this one looks good! The etched “RZM M7/51 1937” maker mark and “Blut und Ehre!” motto are nicely executed! It has a solid fit and a sharp tip. The blade rates an easy Exc+. It shows age grey, the cutting edge and tip have been sharpened and there are surface scratches throughout. The original brown/black leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based, black anodized scabbard is in excellent condition. It remains dent free. There are minor rub marks and oxidization spots but that’s it. The folded over blackened leather strap has lost its snap portion. The leather that remains is in great condition. You could add a snap piece should you desire. The hilt is constructed out of a steel base that has been nickel-silver plated. The plating remains in excellent condition, being 95%+ intact. The two black checkered, bakelite grip plates are tightly secured to the hilt by two solid aluminum rivets. To the center obverse of the grip has a beautiful HJ diamond with 99%+ enamel remaining! A textbook anton wingen.
