Here's a nice example by a rarer maker. The blade on this one rates Exc. It has been sharpened and retains much bluing, a perfect tip and fit, and it hasn't been messed with as so many of these are. There are runner marks. The blade is stamped "42ddl" to the reverse indicating Jos Corts manufacturer, 1942. It is also stamped "2281" to the obverse matching the scabbard. The dent-free scabbard is in great shape! There are a few light surface scratches and wear marks. The blued finish looks great and the fit is perfect! The hilt is in beautiful shape with practically no wear and amazing finish. The brown wood grip plates are in great shape! A few bumps and scratches but no chips or splits. They also have a perfect fit, being tightly secured by two rivets/spanner nuts. This piece is profusely inspection stamped as one would expect. Overall this is a great early piece that is in need of a good home!
