A 1st Model (1934/35) Airforce Dagger (Luftwaffe Fliegerdolch) by Tiger (Lauterjung & Co.) of Solingen. This piece has been restored. The leather has been replaced (including buffer pad), all of the fittings have been cleaned (minor red cleaning ruminants to crevasses) and the blade has been re-tipped and cleaned. The “Tiger Solingen” maker mark is beautifully executed. The scabbard looks excellent! The fittings are tightly secured with all five screws. The aluminum chain has 9 lower and 6 upper ringlets that ends at a well working “Ges. Gesch. OLC” marked clip. The hilt looks great! The four sun wheel swastikas are the early brass inserts. The triple wire wrap remains tightly intact. A fine restored example.
