1st Model – Deutsches Reich Bahnschutz Dolch für Führer. The unmarked plated blade on this one looks great. It has a nice mirror like finish to it. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point. The blade rates Exc+/Exc++. It has an ever so slight dull towards the tip. It shows age grey, spotting and surface scratches throughout. The large blue pebbled leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based, nickel silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling and oak leaf and acorn bands. It remains completely dent free. The original throat retaining screws remain intact. The zinc based, nickel-silver plated eagle crossguard provides crisp details throughout the eagle’s head, wings, wreath, beak and chest. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns throughout. The black bakelite grip is in excellent condition. No cracks or chips. Wonderful matching patina. This one comes with a post-war portepee at no extra charge.
