A Minty - Transitional Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by Puma (Puma-Werk Lauterjung & Sohn of Solingen) 1937. The ricassoed mottoed blade on this one is gorgeous! The “Blut und Ehre!” motto and “Puma Solingen Ges. Geschützt” and “RZM M7/27 1937” maker mark are dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible shining wonderfully from hilt to tip. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates an easy NM/Mint-. It shows minor age grey and runner marks but that’s it! The original blackened leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard looks wonderful. It shows minor spidering and retains 99%+ paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The folded blackened leather strap is in wonderful condition. It retains all of its rivets and the snap continues to work very well! The steel based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 99%+ of its plated finish. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are in perfect shape and are secured by two solid nickel-silver rivets. The HJ diamond is gorgeous, retaining 99%+ of its enamel! One of the best I’ve offered for sale to this date!
