A Stag Grip Long - Wehrmacht Extraseitengewehr für Offiziere by WKC of Solingen. The singe edged fullered 9 3/4 inch plated blade on this one looks great. The stamped knights head “WKC Solingen” maker mark is beautifully executed! The plating gives it a nice mirror like finish. The tip comes to a sharp point and the fit is nice and tight. The blade rates Exc++. The obverse features two clouded runner rest marks and there are minor surface scratches throughout. The leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard looks good. It remains completely dent free. It retains 65%+ of its original paint coverage. The original throat retaining screw and frog lug remain intact. The ball remains perfectly round. The zinc-alloy based, nickel-silver plated hilt looks great as well. It retains 90%+ of a plating coverage. The nicely featured stag grip plates are in perfect condition being tightly secured to the hilt with two nickel-silver rivets. The push button continues to work well! It comes with a well worn frog and portepee. A nice one!
