A good looking piece! The 9 11/16 inch long, single fuller, plated blade on this one looks excellent! The stamped "E. Pack & Sohne Solingen" maker mark is beautifully executed. The plating gives it a nice mirror like finish. The tip comes to a perfectly sharp point and the fit is nice and tight! The blade rates NM. The brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based reblued scabbard looks great. It shows some minor oxidization yet it remains completely dent free! When I got this it was completely naken as all the bluing was worn off so I had it redone. It looks great now. A throat retaining screw remains intact and the ball is perfectly round. The alloy based, plated hilt looks good. The platting is worn some and has scratched and evidence of honest wear. The black checkered bakelite grip plates are in near perfect condition. Both plates are tightly secured to the hilt with the textbook unique Pack spanner/ nut assembly. The button continues to work well! This comes with a crazed but functional frog with 50% of the stitches remaining. A great uncleaned example
