Restored RLB 2nd Model Leader by Alcoso

I purchased this from the Vet's family a several years ago and now I just took it back on trade. When it originally came in and all the leather was falling apart so I sent it off for restoration and what a job was done!! Love these early pieces they are noticeably heavier than the later aluminum versions. This is a desirable early example with a nickel-silver hilt that's been releathered. As always, I disclose all restoration work. The early ACS scales marked blade has been cleaned and still has some clouding and evidence of water stain. The blade is seated through a pebbled dark blue/black washer into the solid nickel crossguard. peek at the end of the quillion, see how it's inspection marked? You only see this on the very earliest ones. The hilt fittings are all early nickel. The grip insignia is in great shape with 99% of original enamel intact. The releathered scabbard is nicely done. All the fittings have been cleaned and match the hilt being secured with headless screws. A Leader piece cheaper than most EM's!
