Nice early hand engraved sword at a great price. Look at the hand stamped details! The blade on this one rates NM. It's stamped to the obbverse Horster and to the reverse, "Esser & Co. Koln Krebsgasse 20" a uniform distributor. There are a few small scuffs but about as good as it ever gets. The original leather buffer pad remains intact. The blade is nicely marked but sorry tough to photo hidden up under the languet. This one is not illustrated in Angolia reference. A new find The black painted scabbard is in fine shape with some wear/ spidering but no dents. The scabbard throat is secured by two dome head screws. The hilt and P-guard are beautifully detailed hand chiseled brass with honest wear to the high areas. The languet features ana Army-style eagle. The black celluloid grip it undamaged. Three twisted wires remain intact but loosely secured.
