M31 Tropical Canteen 1941

Here we have a tropical issue .8 liter capacity M31 canteen! It is constructed out of a tooled natural aluminum construction with an impregnated wood covering, bakelite cap and canvas straps. The body is marked "D.R.G.M. H.R.E. 41 D.R.P. angm.". The clip is marked "HKE 41" on the inside and "Patent Ritter" on the outside. The cap is marked "F7/S". The lid is marked "MSD gfc 1940". The canvas buckles and straps are complete. The leather strap around the neck is broken as seen in the last picture. Overall a great canteen!
