5 Reichspfennig Coin 1939

The Reichsmark was the currency in Germany from 1924 until 20 June 1948 in West Germany. The Reichsmark was subdivided into 100 Reichspfennig. It is constructed out of a die stamped bronze base. The obverse features a large "5" surrounded by "Reichspfennig" and a "B" flanked by two oak leaves. The "B" indicates that the coin was struck in Vienna. The reverse features an NSDAP eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons, surrounded by "Deutsches Reich 1939". It measures approximately 11/16 of an inch in diameter. A very nice coin!
