An early 1st Pattern Army Visor Eagle. It is constructed of a die struck nickel-silver base that has been silver washed. The obverse depicts a German open winged eagle, clutching a wreathed swastika in its talons. The reverse retains one of its two tombak prongs. A very nice rare piece!
