A M38 - 2.Modell Reichsluftschutzbund (RLB) Dolch für Führer by Paul Weyersberg of Solingen. This is the second time I’ve owned this one. Remember if you’ve ever purchasing an item from us we are always buying! Here is the description: “Here's a great looking piece with an awesome blade! The bright blade on this one is beautiful! It has stunning crossgrain that runs the full length of the blade! It has a perfect tip and solid fit! The blade rates an Exc++/NM. It shows the common surface scratches and minor age spotting throughout. 70% of the buffer pad remains intact. The steel based blue pebbled simulated leather scabbard body likely has been re-leathered. It is in beautiful condition with minimal wear. The three fittings are all aluminum-alloy based and silver washed. They show period wear yet remain nice and bright. The bottom of the lower fitting has a wee hole in it. If you look closely at the center fitting you can see that it is a slightly different color as is the ring and loop. This was done in the factory as the 1st models dont have this center fitting and they were added. Completely textbook. All five screws remain intact. The scabbard snuggly fits up against the hilt. The hilt is aluminum-alloy based, silver washed and finished in a protectant lacquer coating. It continues to hold some of its original lacquer finish. All of the fitting look great matching in color and patina. The obverse crossguard looks awesome with its unique RLB eagle! The grip is wood based and is covered in blue pebbled simulated leather. I do not believe this has been re-lathered. It remains in excellent condition near perfect coverage. The obverse shows the starburst grip emblem and swastika that retains 98%+ of its black enamel. A great piece!”
