A Model 1937 Reichsarbeitsdienst Führer Haumesser by Alcoso - Alexander Coppel of Solingen. The matte blade on this one looks good. The acid etched “Arbeit adelt” motto and “Alcoso ACS Solingen” maker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The tip and fit are both perfect! The blade rates Exc++. It shows age grey, spotting and surface scratches throughout. The steel based, silver plated and lacquered scabbard looks great. Take a look at the patina… Very typical of RAD leader scabbard and very nice! It shows minor spotting/spidering and one pressure mark to the reverse. It also displays wonderful details throughout, with the burnished: decorative swirls, random pebbling and wheat leaves. Both throat retaining screw remain intact. The scabbard fits the hilt perfectly. The aluminum-alloy based, silver plated and chemically burnished hilt looks great. The crossguard retains beautiful detail with the proud RAD emblem front and center. The eagle head on the pommel looks great! The grip plates are white celluloid and secured with a screw. The reverse has a chip that appears to have been glued back in. A nice RAD Leader Dagger that would make for a great addition to any collection!
